Nurse Practitioner, Center for Melanoma, Massachusetts General Hospital, AIM at Skin Cancer’s “Ask a Skin Cancer Nurse”
Krista Rubin is a Nurse Practitioner in the Melanoma Disease Center at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She has been involved in the care of patients with melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancers for the past 20+ years. She has extensive expertise in the diagnosis, management and treatment of patients with both early and late-stage skin cancers. She lectures internationally and has authored numerous articles on the topic of skin cancer. Her area of expertise includes immunotherapies, targeted therapies, and symptom management. Krista is a passionate advocate of sun safety and prevention efforts.
In her clinical practice, Krista provides care to patients receiving immunotherapies, targeted therapies, and various investigational agents with a special interest in recognizing and managing immune-related toxicity.
She has consulted, served on numerous planning committees, and has lectured at local, regional, national, and international conferences. She has authored or co-authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals on the various aspects of skin cancer treatment and toxicity management.
Krista currently serves as a panel member for the Society of Immunotherapy in Cancer’s (SITC) Cutaneous Melanoma Immunotherapy Guidelines Committee and Cancer Immunotherapy Guidelines Oversight Committee.
